by Laguna Art Museum, will feature 100 works of art from 100 premiere
California artists. The auction will take place 6pm -10pm. A buffet,
cocktails, music, and curbside valet parking are included with the
price of admission. Tickets are $125 for Museum Members and $150
for Non-members. The slowdown in the economy has created some unique
opportunities in terms of acquiring great art. Artists in Auction
100 have made work available that they have not been able to for
years due to a past shortage of inventory. Many artists have given
prime work for Auction 100 that is rare to find at a museum auction.

Laguna Beach Live! is pleased to present the American violin and
guitar ensemble Duo46 (a.k.a. guitarist Matt Gould and violinist
Beth Ilana Schneider-Gould) who have created their own repertoire
that warrants standing ovations. Their intriguing mix of music depicts
the impressions and experiences of modern-day classical composers,
capturing an array of style and emotion, ranging from Classical

Ikebana school of Japanse floral arranging since 1985, will discuss
and demonstrate some of the techniques used in creating arrangements
ranging in size from the multi-story high, 'Don't Try This At Home'
creations seen in public buildings to the serene table top arrangements
you want in your home. This meeting also features the annual popular
Valentine Basket Silent Auction. Take home a delightful floral arrangement
for your sweetheart by bidding on one or more of the many creations,
lovingly created by garden club members. Proceeds go to Garden Club
scholarships, serving our local community. Bring cash for the bidding

by the desire to perform unconventional music, Third Wheel is a

of chamber music with an unusual instrumentation and fresh, youthful
perspective. The concert is 3:00 to 4:30 pm in Studio 6 of the Laguna

Just a few miles from downtown Laguna, the lovely campus offers

Laguna Beach Craft Guild
The Laguna Beach Craft Guild is a non-profit organization created
in 1978 to give Laguna Beach artists the opportunity of selling
their arts and crafts to the public. The Craft Guild exhibits downtown
Laguna Beach on the cobblestone of Main Beach from 8:30am until
sunset. They represent a variety of art mediums; potters, glassblowers,
textile artists, jewelers and many others as well. Come on down

Laguna Beach Live! First Sundays
Laguna
Beach Live! is pleased to present Bulgarian brothers Nikola, Vasil
and Petar Chekardzhikovi who have studied guitar since early childhood
and have toured extensively in Europe and the United States. In
2004, they won first prize in the Third Annual Guitar Ensemble
Competition in Brownsville, Texas. They will perform spirited
classical and contemporary guitar works. The concert is 3:00 to
4:30 pm in Studio 6 of the Laguna College of Art & Design,
2222 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach. Just a few miles from downtown
Laguna, the lovely campus offers ample and complimentary parking.
The College Art Gallery opens at 2:00 pm to view the current exhibition
and is open during intermission. There is no admission charge
but donations from the audience are appreciated. Support for the
First Sundays Series comes from the lodging establishments and
City of Laguna Beach, and donationa from the audience.

Laguna Beach Live! First Sundays
Laguna
Beach Live! is pleased to present Alexander Sack. Alex is a fine
arts guitarist whose awards include, two time winner of the Randy
Rhoads Memorial Award, and twice recipient of the Andres Segovia
Award for classical guitar performance. He has utilized the electric
guitar as a solo instrument, and refined it for music from classical
to blues, and contemporary compositions. He received his Master
of Fine Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts, where
he pursued composing for the solo guitar. The theme of the afternoon’s
program is Music of the Americas, from Louise Milan composing
in Spain during the discovery and exploration of the New World,
to music of, or inspired by, South America and North America.
The concert is 3:00 to 4:30 pm in Studio 6 of the Laguna College
of Art & Design, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach. Just
