I haven't been to Laguna Beach for quite a while. Is it legal to have alcohol on the beach? For example can we take a cooler with wine or is there no glass allowed? How about canned beer?

As of today, this ordinance is in force:

18.16.010 Alcohol prohibited on defined beach areas.
The possession or consumption by any person of alcohol, alcoholic beverages, beer, distilled spirits or wine in any form, at any time, at any place, on or within the hereinafter described and defined areas is prohibited.
(1953 Code § 7431: Ord. 350 § 2).
