We are planning a trip to CA in Sept. We need to get from San Diego to Laguna Beach with out renting a car. Are there any options out there besides a cab? Thanks!

You can take the passenger train Amtrak. However, you'll need to factor in a cab ride from the San Diego airport (if that's where/if you'll be coming from) to Amtrak as well as a cab ride from the closest train station to Laguna Beach (San Juan Capistrano) into town.

By train, it's about an hour & twenty minutes and once you arrive at the San Juan Capistrano station, the cab ride to Laguna Beach is between 20 & 30 minutes.

You can also try a shuttle service - for example, A Blue Shuttle will take you from San Diego to Laguna Beach for $175 (good for 1 to 7 people). Their number: 1-800-719-3499.

EZ Ride is another shuttle service - Their rates start at $145 (depends on home many are in your party) - you'll need to contact them for a quote:
1-800-777-0585.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your visit to Laguna Beach!
