Festival of Arts "Preview 2011" at Wells Fargo in Laguna Beach

Opening Reception April 8th from 11-2pm

LAGUNA BEACH, CA - Summer time is just around the corner and the Festival of Arts is excited to announce a new exhibit, "Preview 2011." This new display is showcasing a fascinating preview into the world of the innovative and fresh new artwork of 14 prestigious artists from Orange County. These 14 exhibitors are just a sample of the 28 exhibitors who were recently juried into the Festival of Arts by a panel of seven knowledgeable artists and/or art experts to assure patrons the finest art experience that they expect from the show. These artists display the variety, personality, and atmosphere that will be available at the Festival of Arts all summer long, and will round out over 140 artists for 2011. "Preview 2011" runs now through June 24th at the Wells Fargo Bank in Laguna Beach. The public is welcome to join the artists for a free reception on April 9th, from 11 - 2pm at the Wells Fargo Bank.

The Festival of Arts Art Collection Specialist, Pat Sparkuhl commented, "Preview 2011 presents a group show of artists that are raising the bar on the quality and diversity that the Festival of Arts is noted for."

The genre's being showcased present a variety in diverse areas of investigation, such as: photography, oils, jewelry, watercolors, sculpture, ceramics, acrylics, handcrafted wood, as well as experimental applications with mixed media. The artists being presented are Russell Jacques, Agnes Copeland, Molly Lipsher, Baldemar Fierro, Fred Eck, William R. Brion, Gretchen Shields, Ryan Heimbach, Nancy Holly, Gar Cropser, Susan Jarecky, Bill Drysdale, Barry Robin and Susan Wills.

This free exhibit is part of an ongoing series of shows that the Festival of Arts is having at Wells Fargo this year. The Wells Fargo building is at 260 Ocean Avenue, Laguna Beach and is open to the public Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization whose proceeds go to support the arts in and about Laguna Beach. The Festival of Arts is open daily from July 3rd through August 31st from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 pm.
