Who’s your hero? Do you know someone working hard to improve our Laguna Beach community or the world? Celebrate your hero with a story, artwork or short film at the 4th Annual Laguna Hero Fest. Submissions are due by May 1, 2011.

The Laguna Hero Fest will feature artwork from local youth and professionals, a screening of short films and an awards ceremony to recognize activists from Laguna Beach. The MY HERO Project invites you to participate in this free, community-building event to recognize artists and activists here at home. People of all ages can get involved by submitting hero-themed artwork, audio, films and stories to myhero.com/laguna. This is a great way for all you budding artists and activists out there to get exposure and build a community of support!

The Laguna Hero Fest will take place at 6pm on June 5th, 2011 at [seven-degrees], 891 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach, CA. It is produced in part with a grant from the City of Laguna Beach. MY HERO welcomes support from local sponsors and individuals and is accepting donations of goods and services for a silent auction to raise funds for next year’s event.
