Is it real?

Is this really not a real reality show? Are all the characters just actors and actresses acting out script and in real life are not actually these characters? or are these real people's lives?

I had dinner several months ago with the father of one of the boys on the show (from last season) - who shall remain nameless. I asked him pretty much that same question. His thoughts were that they handpicked a very select/elite group of young, good-looking kids from wealthy families that do NOT represent an accurate cross-section of Laguna Beach. THEN, they film/edit/manipulate scenes to create storylines of their liking. Real? Sure. Just an edited reality. Kind of like reading an annotated history of the western world, but only reading the battle or "intimate" scenes. So to speak. ;)

it is fake... well not completely... they film what they want to film.. and edit it all... if something happens and there isn't cameras around they renact it and film it... for example... jessica and Jason... they broke up like 4 episodes before they actually showed them braking up on the show... it's like reality meets acting... half the stuff you see in the shows is like the complete opposite of what actually happened... another example.. at Breanne's pool party Rocky wasn't ignored.. Breanne did go over and say hi to her. But she was busy running around doing things she couldn't talk to anyone... man... you guys obivously don't live in Canada because the show they air it on tells you what actually HAPPENED.... and pretty much makes the whole show fake....

I think its pretty real to me. havent been really watching it that long but its great ! i love it. i would love to meet stephen! hes such a cutie. i love him :D andd LC is beautiful. she a really cool chick. wouldnt have picked her with jason though but oh well. i still love stephen ! =D dont know how she could have not wanted anything more with him. :)
